MHCLG today announced additional funding to sites within the Garden Towns & Villages Programme, strengthening the commitment from Government to helping local places bring forward new housing through well planned, high quality new settlements delivered to Garden City principles.
Hyas Associates are working closely with a number of the successful places, providing internal project management, technical and critical friend support to a number of the Councils that are actively evolving schemes and considering new approaches to delivery. Hyas have led and supported the preparation of funding bids thus helping to secure such monies, drawing from our knowledge and experience of funding initiatives and a track record of delivery.
We have provided a wide range of support to Taunton, Aylesbury and North Essex as Garden Towns and Culm, St Cuthberts and Bailrigg as Garden Villages, covering aspects such as masterplanning, project management, consultant management, stakeholder engagement, health & well-being, viability and new models of delivery including consideration of locally led development corporations.
We have also supported other sites that are emerging as Garden Towns & Villages including bids in to the recent Prospectus. We’re looking forward to further announcements from MHCLG and Homes England over coming weeks to reveal extra places that will be joining the programme, and other support being provided to help achieve a quality approach to making places fit for the future.
