Central Bletchley Public and Digital Engagement

Milton Keynes Council are preparing a ‘Supplementary Planning Document’ (SPD) to set a context and framework for the transformation of the Central Bletchley area. The preparation of the SPD will support the comprehensive regeneration of the area, avoiding piecemeal development and maximising the area’s ability to capitalise on the opportunity for new investment in terms of housing, offices, shops, community and cultural facilities as well as open space/public realm improvements created by its important location on the East West Rail route as well as West Coast mainline.

Hyas were appointed to provide support to the Councils on public and stakeholder engagement. This included working with local stakeholders including Parish Councils and other interest groups and the creation of digital platform which was used to obtain ideas and input to help inform the preparation of the SPD and its policies. Hyas provided support in procuring a suitable digital system, preparing it for use including creating and implementing various engagement tools including surveys and interactive mapping.
